I have the SL and had the Door Rattle adjusted a couple of weeks ago.(Left side slider) It seems to be better except now but I have another rattle coming from the front area of the car (cannot pin point it yet).

Also I mentioned about my radio cutting out twice and they found no problem but today it happened a third time (Resolved when you restart the car.)

Still would like to get these issues resolved!

have they put an audio unit in your van yet??

I dont have any knowledge of a rattle from the engine area as of yet.

FYI I found out that nissan has an entire engineering team dedicated to the sliding doors on the quest if thats any comfort to new quest owners. And I dont mean these guys are dedicated to the Quest, this crew is only dedicated to the slider doors on the Quest. There is another crew dedicated to the vehicle as a whole.

No, They have not put a new audio player in the van. When I brought the car in, they found nothing wrong with it?

Thanks,

Bob

at my dealer we found the best way to take care of the sliding door noise..... (only after the sliding door adjustment).. if still makes noise we weld on the B-post at the lower part all the way around where post meets the floor pan.. has fixed everyone.. we have performed about 7-10 times...

Is It approved by warrenty to do it ?and if so could you detail the work performed? This way I can attempt to get vcan approval to do it at our dealer. We have quite a few concerns on this and we keep telling them engineering is working on a repair. But if this is an approved repair we can send them to the body shop for repair. We dont have a body shop or welder on site.

yeah, we do get it approved by warranty.. ill have to get the op. code that we use..but do know that it is straight time. i normally clock about 1.0 for service. the body shop around 2-3. i will have to take some pics of where we weld but it is near where the seat belt mounts at the bottom

I continue to have problems regarding the radio not working. It has happenned twice this week and about 6 times since my purchase 7 weeks ago!

I have to shut off car and restart to resolve this problem. Is Nissan working on a resolution to this problem. I've read numerous complaints about this problem!

sounds like nissan has a fix for it so go in and bring it to their attention you have done research and found out about this repair. We at our dealer have yet to see it. I handle all work orders through the shop so i would know if we had one in. If I get a chance tomorrow I will look in asist for both the door rattle TSB and the radio one.

ok official word here on both the radio and the rattle. NO BULLETIN EXISTS FOR THE RATTLE OR THE RADIO PROBLEMS.The only bulletin that does exsit for anything related to the doors is the adjustment TSB mentioned in this thread and that procedure is not to cure a rattle but to correct a door latching problem. Again no bulletin exists for either concern as of the feb 15 asist disk. [We get this disks on the 1 and the 15th of every month. They contain all current bulletins.] I could have done a dial update over the internet but didnt have time. Usually the update doesnt reveal anything new.

From what the engineer told me the new dovetails are supposed to fix some of the rattles the current dovetails are all smooth the new dovetails have ridges on them to fit inn the door tighter to prevent the door rattling in the shut position
