2004 Pathfinder - bad gas mileage - What's Up?

I have a 2004 Pathfinder SE, and from an absolutely FULL tank of gas, I'm getting a range of roughly 200 miles (city and highway driving). (!!) Any idea why? It runs perfectly, no trouble codes, no issues. My suspicion is that it's over-cooling due to a thermostat that's either stuck all the way or partially open. I have a Bosch bluetooth code reader with live data streaming, and under all driving conditions, hot and cold weather, it says that my coolant temperature never exceeds 181 degrees... Is that too low? Other than that idea, I'm stumped... Anybody out there know? Please tell me! lol.

200 miles doesn't mean much without knowing how much fuel is needed to fill up. It's the G in MPG, of course.

200 miles does seem low (but not terribly low; I typically range around 250-275), but is that when your gas light comes on? When it does come on, how many gallons to fill up?

Fuel capacity is 21 gallons, so if if you are only getting 200 miles per full tank then you are only getting around 10 mpg which is low, even for these thirsty engines. You should be getting at least 14-15 mpg I would say.

Right, but if he's filling up around the 1/8th mark or gas light, refill should be closer to 15-16 gallons. Even at my most desperate "E" moment, mine barely took 17 gallons.

If he's getting 200mi on 16, that's still bad, but we don't have nearly enough info from the OP. I hope he's not expecting us to email him.
