Hello Guys and Gals!

I have an 04 Pathfinder Chinook with 179,000 km on it. I take really good care of it and that also includes filling it up with Premium Gasoline. Recently, I have noticed that after i hit the 1/4 full level, the gage starts to be everywhere and anywhere between 1/4 full and 1/4 empty. Never had an issue until recently. Any suggestions? I assume that it is a level issue but am open to hear anything! Thanks

Welcome to NICO.

Chevron Techron fuel system cleaner contains PEA which can help with fuel sending unit issues. Buy a couple 20oz bottles and use one bottle per tank for the next two tanks. City driving works best with the fuel system cleaner since it allows the cleaner to soak in when you make stops; highway driving isn't as ideal because you generally burn through a significant portion of the tank in one driving session.

Slightly off topic, but I have an '02 Chilkoot with 275,000 kms, and I've been running regular gas for years, with no adverse effects or problems, and no change in gas mileage.
Not everyone agrees with this (there have been many threads on this topic), but I believe running premium fuel is a waste of money, especially considering these trucks are not exactly gas misers.
