2004 nissan murano - clicking in front when turning wheel and when putting in & out of gear? Does anyone know what this could be?HELP QUICK! - my daughter newly driver - takes this to and from work and gets off when the malls close.....don't want her to break down or accident!

I wish I could help you personally on this one, but this is out of my realm of automobile knowledge. Let me ask around here and see if I can get someone to answer your question for you.

I had the same problem not long ago. I thought it was the CV joints going bad. Took it to the dealer since the power trian was still under warrenty. Turns out the axle bearings were dry and just needed to be re-packed with grease. Problem solved.

lmao..you cant pack the axles bearings unless your referring to the CV axles joints themselves..unless the boots are cracked they dont need repacking.the more common issue ive seen with the clicking you are referring to is the splines on the axles themselves. what happens is they get rusty and start to bindand makes noise. what usually happens is the axles are removed and the splines are cleaned as well as inside the hub and then both are greased with a molycoat lubricating grease.. once that is all done the noise almost 100% of the time is completely gone.
