Yeah, any 2004-2008 motor SHOULD work. There may have been minor changes but nothing to keep the swap from working.

CVT doesn't matter unless you're not planning on keeping your original transmission. The motor itself is still the same.

There are no differnces between an 04-07 motor. You would be able to drop it in with no issues.

I think you should honestly complain to the dealership and fight for them to cover it. There is no way a CAI and a catback would cause a spun bearing! Dealerships are just sometimes full of **it! You should complain to them and argue with them why they make the SE-Rs with a cold air intake and a larger catback exhaust!

You shouldnt have to fork out that cash unless you were really running the car and abusing it! A cold air intake and a catback WILL NOT cause the rpms to accelerate quickly. A spun bearing isually caused by running the car at high RPMS' or something defective.

Yes, always put the stock parts back on when going back to the dealer!! Soo much less hassle that way.

car-parts.com

I got my motor when I did my swap for 950+125 for shipping... and it was an 04 motor w/ 14k on it. I have had no issues with it.

Since your gonna need another motor, care to sell me your stock, upper intake manifold?

While your at it, you should try and sell the 3.5 cams to someone who's looking to modify their 3.0. I'm almost certain you'll be able to sell them quick!

And I forgot to mention, car-parts wont ask you/charge you for a core charge... some of these junkyards want to be greedy and charge you an additional 200 for a core....well at least here in EL Paso they do!

You would need to get a bank accountor a credit card and open up a paypal account @paypal.com(the safest way). Someon might even by the whole motor.. it'd make a nice stroker kit VQ33

How much would you want for the upper manifold!? How bout for the whole motor!? PM me a price for everything... I have my spare VQ30, and im actually thinking it'd be a good motor for my 280zx...I bet the wife wont like it...haha

I wouldnt recommend driving it if you plan on selling the motor, this way there's less of a chance of completely damaging it out more of a chance of you getting more money for it. But I wouldnt have no slight idea how long it would last... Thats very unpredictable.. could be the moment you start it up.. or two months from now.

Unfortunately, you cant reset your odometer(its illegal i think). I swapped out the motor for better performance... went from a VQ30 toa VQ35 and I did it myself..

Dont have a picture of the old motor in the bay but here are pics:And how it looks now:and this is the car

Yopu wont need any parts from the old motor.. only the accessories like starter, alternator, power steering pump... adn of course your transmission, ECU and wiring harness.

I would use the motor to convert my old VQ30 to a VQ33... frankenstein stuff!! LOL

When you decide if you want to sell it, email me, [email protected]

This is Borrowed from Maxima.ORG -I DID NOT WRITE THIS MYSELF

Can mods void my warranty?YES- but they have to have been the CAUSE of the malfunction.

What does the law say about this?Found this on a Ford site. And I quote...

"Under the Magnusson-Moss Act, aftermarket equipment that improves performance does not void a vehicle manufacturer's original warranty, unless that warranty clearly states the addition of aftermarket equipment automatically voids the warranty or that the aftermarket device is the direct cause of the failure. The easiest way to check this is to look in your owner's manual under "What is not covered." Nonetheless, Dealers receive less compensation for warranty work than regular service rates and some have tried to deny warranty service. Under Magnusson-Moss Act a dealer must prove, not just vocalize, that aftermarket equipment caused the need for repairs before they can deny warranty coverage. If they cannot prove such claim-or proffer a questionable explanation- it is your legal right to demand compliance with the warranty. The Federal Trade Commission (202-326-3128) administers the Magnusson-Moss Act and monitors compliance with warranty law."

Read this for more information: http://www.usdieselparts.com/mmwa.cfm

This is federal law. Don't let any dealer try to tell you different, if they do, go to another one or call Nissan USA and get them to give the service manager a little call too.

Are you serious!?!?!? You sent the engine to a recycling place... shen all it may have had was a spun bearing!? By the way, I never got your email. I would have bought the upper manifold off of you.

you could have probably made 250-500 off of the motor.I hope your install goes good! Good luck!
