2004 murano warning lights on

i have a 2004 murano, all the lights are on eg engine abs,park break, every light!! they will not go off

oh yeah the speedometer does not work as well

Have you checked all of your fuses?

i have seen this problem a found the meter/ac amp at fault. you might also want to scan the car for any codes. if the brake fluid is low the brake and abs will come on. check engine light may be on with a code for the speedo operation also.

when i hook it up, there is no communication between scanner and ecu

the meter ac amp is the module that controls the cluster gauges and the a/c amplifer. if the ecm has no communication check the elec parts fuse. you may not have communication if the scan tool does not operate with "can" systems which require a special converter to scan with a scan tool. with the problems you are having i would recommend taking to the dealer were they will have all the tools needed to diagnose the failure.
