2004 murano se - transfer case replacement

i had to take my murano in to be serviced. it has been diagnosed with a transfer case malfunction. my warranty covers all the work but i am curious as to what tha after effects may be if any. it seemed to happen all of a sudden. is there anything else that amy go wrong? even after repairs are done. what should i make sure of before driving my murano out of the nissan repair shop.
