Hey everyone, I went out and found a 2004 Murano for my girlfriend for pretty cheap. Has 150k miles, in decent condition. The only thing is though is that it has a code (P0300 Random Misfire code). It orginally had a P1283, P0021, and P0300. I installed new cam sensors and now it just throws P0300. It starts up and runs just fine but after about 15 seconds it starts to idle very low and shakes. Also when you go to accelerate it is very jumpy and the RPM's will go up and down like it is misfiring. Could this be because of the P1283 code saying that I have a bad o2 sensor?

Also something weird. When you get above 35-40 mph it no longer is jumpy when you accelerate. It also flashes a CEL so we aren't driving it for the time being.

So far I've tried:
-Doing an oil change to synthetic
-Changed the oil pressure sensor
-Did the gas pedal position relearn process
-Gently sprayed some carb cleaner on a cloth and cleaned the throttle body

What I have found to try so far:
-Check PCV, Spark Plugs, Coils, EGR
-Disconnect cats to see if they're clogged
-Clean the IVT's
-Check for vacuum leaks
-Disconnect coil packs while car is running to see if one is bad
-Clean the IVT grounds
-Try a new o2 Sensor

Anyone have any ideas?

My Murano is an 04 as well and it, I believe, gave me the same code(s). I changed the spark plugs, wires and ignition coils. Honestly the issue was due to a fouled ignition coil but since the intake had to be removed to access the rear ones I decided to take the time to go ahead and replace the plugs & wireS. Plus, I was unable to determine which coil was actually bad. I bought three for the back only and ended up using one of the rear ones on the front.

After all that the problem was resolved.. Hope this helps and best of luck. I did the repairs myself and saved a ton but I was able to have it all taken apart, everything replaced and back together in about 5-7 hours.
