2004 Maxima- Sound goes in and out- What is problem?

Hello, I have a 2004 Maxima and in the last 3 months the radio goes out. It will go out at random times and the only way to get it back is by hitting the center council between cassette player and the diver seat, just by hitting the side. The kind of Radio is the standard with no Navigation- CD and Cassette player. If you have any ideas I would be thankful!
