I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this or not...I recently had a problem with my 04 Maxima. I read over the internet including articles from NICO. It gave me a general idea but since my symptoms were different I wasn't 100% sure. I went to start my car and it took longer than usual to start. Once it started the SES light came on and my VDC kicked off, no other lights or warnings. It ran a little rough (probably due to the VDC being off) but was not in limp mode, it still had power. However it had died on me 2 times in the driveway. After some research I thought it could be the CSS but it seemed everyone else had the SES light, slip light or some other configuration of lights. I took it to the local O'Reilly's and they confirmed my suspicion with a code of P0340. It said it was bank 1. The parts store had them but it was left handed or right handed, not bank 1 or bank 2. We thought the one on the left was bank one and the one closest to the firewall was bank 2. I replaced it in the parking lot and re-tested. Nope still got the same code and reaction from the car. So I bought the other one and replaced it. The problem went away. So correct me if I'm wrong but on a 3.5 V6 04 Maxima SL, standing on the drivers side front fender looking at the motor, Bank 2 (LH) is the black 3 wire connector attached to a round "in my case" sensor that is the angled one (once you pull it out), closest to the radiator. Bank 1 (RH) is the green wire connector attached to a round sensor closest to the firewall, a straight shaped sensor. I wanted to post this because it seemed everywhere I looked I could not find my specific combination of lights and symptoms or if the bank 1 was LH or RH, and I find these forums really nice to research and try and figure out the problem...and fix it myself!!! LOL
