The car has been running sluggish lately, with intermittent bad idling. (shoots up to 2000 sometimes)...
But this morning it decided to NOT run. It tries to start... but wouldn't catch.
I checked the in-tank fuel filter and found out that I couldn't blow through it... so I replaced that.
Still wouldn't run.
Funny thing is... when I disconnect the MAF, the car WILL idle...but won't go past 2500 when revved.

Any ideas before I have it towed to a shop?

MAF issue?

Thanks

Any codes? Could be related to ignition coils.

That is how i figured out my MAF was bad by unplugging it and the car ran better
Try to clean it with electronic cleaner and multimeter the connections per the FSM
It will usually set off a code for the MAF followed by the code for the knock sensor
but maybe it didn't this time

Thanks guys!

sorry for the late follow up...
I had it towed to a Nissan dealer... pretty sloppy crew if you asked me...
They say the MAF, fuel pump, and igniters have to be replaced. They didn't tell me of any codes... nor were any codes written in their report.

They were charging me an arm and a leg for the parts. So I pulled the car out and just ordered the parts online.
And yeah... rear interior carpet was messed up with grease...

This was a NISSAN dealer/service center mind you... jeez.

NISSAN BROADWAY at UN avenue... :nono:
