I'm trying to replace my engine with the same engine, and I'd like to separate fact from fiction. I heard that I can't just drop in another motor into my car. :gotme Because there's going to wiring issues etc... Any help from someone who has done this. Is is a straight swap or is the wiring going to be crazy? Thanks. Cheers

As long as you use a VQ from a 2003-2004 G35 or 350z you will have no issues.

So I pretty much just drop out the engine and put in a new one, and put the wires back in the same place?

You will have to transfer many items over from the original engine such as, exhaust manifold and other accessories.
