Well, I'm almost done graduating with school and time to get a nice car and make my 240 a track car. I'm browsing around different cars and noticed the Infiniti I35 but I don't see much attention towards it, and yes I can see its FWD. I mean I could get a nice furnished one for $35k. I wanted to keep it under $35 and selecting the G35 and BMW's 3 series it was tough. Anyone have any opinions on the I35? Thanks everyone.

The I35 is a LOT of car for the money.

A G35 Coupe can be bought for WELL under $35K as well, and is probably the premier car under $35K in existence.

Yeah, was forced to drive mom's neighbor's G35c 6MT with <500 miles yesterday. Black over red with everything. Very nice car.

All it was missing was a VH45DE, but that would have destroyed the exemplary balance.

No smart consumer is paying list for a I35 or G35(non x) sedan these days. Call some of our sponsors.__________________Brian1995 Q45 & Q45t & 2000 Q45

I35's can be easily had for under MSRP.

A lot of car for the money great interior & powerful.I kinda prefer the I's interior over the G35's. especially in charcoal.

Comfortable , elegant, sporty, yet supremely ergonomic as well.

Fred...:)

I had put together a deal on a White/Willow '03 Coupe 6MT with Tech for a fellow member (back when I was in the biz) for $32K.

It can be done.

It's interesting.

My mom nearly bought an I35, but went with a 3 series instead.

I love infiniti and all, but let's be honest here..

The I35 is a nice car.. However you mentioned you like to track your cars? You also have a RWD 240 currently.. Avoid the I35 like the plague, if you don't like FWD... It's SIMPLY POWER OVERLOAD.. Prepare for understeer, understeer, and more understeer.

Now, I would take a g35 over a 3 series, anyday..

An I35 over a 3 series? No way in hell..

Before you guys FLAME me.. goto freshalloy.com and read the review of the altima 2.5.. They actually prefer the 4 banger to the 6, simply because the VQ is overpowered for FWD...

I agree. My 2000 I30t has a very nice balance, and at 227 HP, it is not too bad, on the torque steer, but it is still there. The I35 was changed, and I don't like it. It has more power, and the torque steer is WAY worse. I ask for the G35 loaner cars, now.The interior of the I35 is a little nicer than the G35, though.

My wife is getting a G35 Coupe 6MT, next. I will be shopping the Infiniti dealerships, in about 18 months, when the I30t is paid for.

Jeff,

Agreed.

The I30 had nice balance...

I35 has a nice interior though...

They had to skimp a little on the g35..

basically the I gives you nice luxury

The G is all about the drive...

I am a fan of the G. I don't like fwd cars, but the 3.5se Altima is a much nicer car than the 2.5. The torque steer may be alot, but it's worth it for the car you are getting.

I could have sworn that the serivce rep told me 6 months ago that the I35 was going to be replaced with a rear wheel drive version later this year, but I am not certain.

Yea, the I35 is a bit of an oddity..

Since the new maxima is out, shouldn't a new I be out?

I think the I is on it's last legs. It is the last of the FWD cars, in Infiniti's line-up. I think the M35 will take all of it's customers.
