2004 i35 fog lights

Hello everyone and good evening

I have a 2004 i35 with (what I think is) a weird problem.

The fog lights turn on only if the headlights are on, like in auto light mode or the normal mode.

But there is a part of the lights switch for the (low beam) which should turn on the fog lights only (apart from the fog light switch).

My question is: is this normal or do I have a problem with the car?

PS: I just bought this used car so I'm wondering what's what.

Yes that is normal. Mine does the same thing. In my 01 Aurora, the fog lights will work alone. But yes for some reason the fog lights only turn on if the headlights are activated as well.
