I am often hearing a loud noise that sounds like someone hitting the bottom of car with a metal hammer when hitting small bump while braking. I sometimes hear the loud bang when going over bumps at slow speed. I think it only occurs when it is the right front wheel hitting bump. I read one post for front suspension noise that talked about a compression rod, but the parts description for front suspension does not have a part by that name. Car was just serviced by Infinity dealer and passed their 27 point inspection. The first couple times I heard noise I thought I had hit a big pothole. But I have heard numerous times when I know there was no pot hole. Have only 33,180 miles on car. At 33,081 miles I had rear sway bar links replaced that solved a creaking noise when going over bumps at slow speed. At 32,538 miles dealer replaced transmission under warranty for synchronizer noise and hard shifting into 2nd gear.

Check your endlink for the sway bar, the nut is probably come loose.

Dealer tightened the compression rods. So far no noise, but only one day with car since dealer serviced. The dealer covered under warranty. But the more I read, it sounds like this will be a temporary fix. My warranty expired while car was in for repair. Sounds like I should have asked for compression rods to be replaced.
