i'm considering upgrading to the Stillen exhaust kit that supposedly adds 21-23 HP and lbs of torque. anyone use this particular kit? - http://www.stillen.com/product...&c=PE

i really want to keep up with the coupes and the Zs. i know i'm heavier but i think this would help. just want to see if anyone's used this kit and gotten a noticable increase. any other fairly inexpensive upgrade you guys could reccomend? i'm fairly new to the gear head scene. THX in advance!

Welcome to NICO!!

For best results to catch the Coupes...you'll need more then exhaust!!

Go to our "Modification database" for ideas!

Any question you have ...just post em!

Quick question: Do you mean catch up to them in hp, or catch/keep up with them in the quarter mile?

They're two very different things in this case, and each will yield two very different answers.

Thanks for the info guys!!!! This car's (pics soon to come) my daily driver in the DFW area. I don't race it on the weekends.... I RACE IT IN RUSH HOUR! I want to keep up with the stock coupes and 350s on the highway and take them at the lights, not the drag strips. I just ordered a Stillen Z-tube intake kit and will soon be ordering the Stillen exhaust kit. A Greddy turbo isn't far away. After that, soul_hfk's 2007 (thanks for the wonderful advice) might as well be a SENTRA!Check out my other post about catalytic converters, too, please.

You can keep up with them as it stands already.

And for the added cost of trading for an 07, you could SC the one you have and smoke'em..... But, there will always be someone who is faster.

I went down this road with my 04 6mt sedan. I did CAI, Greddy EVO exhaust, DC headers, and crawford plenum to dyno 245hp at the rear wheels. That was comparable to most stock coupes. I used to be able to pull a car on my buddies 04 coupe up to 60 mph.

I don't think it will take you THAT much to catch up with the 'stock' coupes, but to keep up with G_whizz, you might need to SC or strap a hair dryer to it. Oh, is it beer-thirty!!!!

Something must be way off there. I dynoed 233whp with just a pop charger. It should be close to 240+ with plenum spacer & pop charger. No exhaust mods except for sound. With these light weight wheels and my mods, I give my buddy a run for his money all day long in his 350z. He has intake and light weight wheels as well. I really don't see any 03-04 sedan having any problems with the heavier coupes. G whizz, have you been to the track? My best and only run was 14.4 @ 99mph with just pop charger and heavy coupe wheels. My 60ft was horrilbe @ 2.4. I had just purchased the car 3mos before that, so with more trips down the track. I should be able to pull off 13.90-14.0 @ 100+.

I have an 03 sedan 6mt. My girlfriend drives an 05 coupe auto. Both are completely stock. Unscientifically, I would say my sedan handles better, is quicker, and stops faster. Maybe I am biased because I drive it every day. Her coupe sure does sound a hell of a lot better than mine. Hate the blind spot though.
