I'm out of town at the moment so can't check, but recall that there was an option for a trunk CD Changer (in addition to the 6 disc one in the factory BOSE head unit) on the 2004 G35's.
I thought for sure the trunk is pre-wired for the trunk cd-changer and would like to verify if that's the case.
I'm considering the USA SPEC iPod interface instead of a PAC AAI-NIS2 aux-in because I want better control of an iPod. I don't like the idea of having to look at the ipod to change songs/playlists while driving.
If the trunk harness for the CD changer was there I thought it might be an option to install the iPod there with the USA SPEC iPod controller. Guess it would also depend on if the pinouts/cabling would be compatible as well. But would help in not having to tear the dash/console apart or buy an additional PAC unit for steering wheel control if it could be done.
Here's a link for the USA SPEC controller:

I've seen two other similar units like this on the net, but so far no dealers for them.
Thought I'd check on the trunk option first to see if it could be put there easily.
