Hello I am new to the forum and looking for some guidance. I have searched and read previous threads on my problem. I purchase a 2004 g35 Infiniti sedan this week, The dealer gave me the receipt where he had a new radiator and thermastat installed. He said it was leaking so he had his mechanic replace both while under the hood. Now the problem is that the heater is not working at idle or when driving. The heater does work when in park and running at 4k rpm for a few seconds but when you let off the gas the heat turns cold once again. Cooling system is full radiator and tank. I brought the car to high rpms to open thermo. and make sure the system was full of fluid and it seems to be. Could there be air in the system like I have read?

Yes!

After sitting overnight with the engine cold open the radiator cap.
Start the engine and let the engine warm up while observing the coolant level. You may have to rev the engine to burp the cooling system to allow any trapped air to bubble out.

I'm assuming the correct thermostat is being used.

Good luck
