I'm looking to upgrade to drilled and slotted rotors. Anyone used products from brakeplanet or r1concepts? Cost is very low - Is the quality too?

I would think so. Costs cheap, made cheap. Just go with like rotora, brembo, endless, etc., probly want a real namebrand. I have rotora slotted and I tend to break hard...hasnt warpped a bit, you dont want no chinese metal

I recently installed the R1concepts drilled and slotted rotors (front and back) and installed Hawk HPS pads. So far so good. The build quality of the rotors is real nice. The reputation of the Hawk pads precedes them. I'll try and post pics soon.

Great info people - Thanks! I'm still shopping, this helps a lot. I've found multiple reviews on Brakeplanet - not so good on the customer service side - no complaints on quality. They are a member of the BBB.org, but only since 10/07 and have 22 complaints.

fatire_mtb - Nice! What kind of HP are you producing? Photo of the rotors would be cool.

I've also installed r1concept drilled/slotted rotors. Paid about $140 for all 4 and have no issues at all.

I don't know exactly haven't had it tested. This past weekend when I had my underdrive crank pulley installed I was talking to the owner of the shop about the mods I have and the likely HP increase as a result. His opinion is that I have added around 30HP. One of these days I am going to get it tuned and tested, but that will have to wait until I have some more disposable income.

I'll post pics of the brake job as soon as I can.

I don't like the painted calipers unless they are Brembos or other such big brake kit.

Nice rotors though. I want to get a set for my Brembos next time I change the pads.
