Hi
Can anyone tell me how I can find out what happened to my satellite radio reception? I have a factory installed satellite radio w/nav and it just will not stay on. 2004 automatic/touring package. I get an initial reception, but it will only last for 20 seconds or so before it goes to searching or acquiring signal. I have contacted Sirius Radio and we have re-booted and resent the signal several times but to no avail. Anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks

That sounds like some sort of software/firmware issue with the stereo since it initially gets a signal. You might need to actually talk to a Sirius installer/dealer and see if they have any ideas. I'll dig around and see if I can find anything though.

Thanks. You most likely are correct. I have checked for loose connections, but could not find any. The am/fm works fine. Is there a separate unit that receives the Sirius signal?. This one was factory installed with navigation. I do not see the smaller antenna associated with after market units, connected to the car anywhere. I am told the wiring is inside the GPS antenna mounted on the rear of the roof. I am trying to avoid the dealer repair because of the labor cost and no guarantee the can located the problem. Their solution maybe to just replace the entire unit. Again thanks for your time and offer to research further. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.
