its in NV so its not really "national". If it was in say utah or colorado it would be a little easier. But the texas idea is awsome. Thats very central

Nico > LV Pricks.

Makes me glad I was trailering a car, since I was lucky enough not to lose money on non-refundable plane tickets.

Other Mods and members are very unhappy about losing $200+ on this.

The Texas meet next spring will be HUGE! and will go off without a hitch!

Hey guys I'm just as upset as you are. I had to arrange for three different babysitters plus this was like the first time in years that me and the Hitman were going somewhere without the kids. :(

I hear what you're saying but Indy is not easily reachable by either coast, which happens to be where the majority of Nissan owners live. Perhaps NICO will consider doing a future national convention closer to the east, like central or western PA.

Western PA: BeaveRun Motorsports Park which is 3 minutes from the PA turnpike. 1.5 mile road race track, big-time go-Kart track, and large vehicle dynamics area (technical term for giant parking lot) for drifting. I was just there in July on the main track. Yes, I "lapped the Beaver". Great whitewater rafting in nearby Ohiopyle, Pittsburgh Pirates/Steelers/Penguins. Lotsa good stuff there.

Central PA: Hershey Park (world class amusement park), Porsche Club holds monthly autocross events in the parking lot. Could probably piggyback onto that. Antique/Classic Car shows all the time (huge one in October) there and at nearby Carlisle. AACA headquarters and museum in Hershey (Antique Car Club of America). Lots of hotel space, all price ranges, Rousch Creek Motorsports Park nearby (under construction), Adventureland Go Carts nearbyHershey Arena (concerts, sporting events including AHL Hershey Bears), there's tons to do there, especially in the summer.

How's that?

The annual NICO conventions will continue to move around the country year after year.

You guys have to keep something in mind....east coasters complain events on the west are too far. West coasters complain that events on the east are too far. Central U.S. people complain anytime an event is on either coast and not in the middle. You simply can't make a good location for everyone. The best way to do it is rotate it randomly throughout the country year after year.

Conventions most the time aren't even about being able to drive to them. It's about hanging out with the people from the boards. If you live too far away to drive (which I don't consider an excuse....I'll drive anywhere, I don't care), then fly. I garuntee you will have just as much fun with or without your car.
