Has any one had a problem with the driver's side window going down when the door is shut? I have had the car in 4 times in 5 months to have it repaired with no luck. It will work for about a month and a half and then start again.

I have had both motors replaced in mine, under warranty, because of that same problem. I'd imagine the dealer did that for you, if not, go for that. I havent had a problem since. Oh, mine is an '03 also, must be common.

Dear Chuck,

Sorry to took sooo long to reply. Thank you for your response. They did replace the motor, (should have done it the 1st time I had the problem).Works great now. Have you had any other problems with your '03 that I should watch for?

Thanks,Jads

I got a recall for the fuel filler hose last week. I had it done, no charge of course. The dealer claims its takes about 6 hours. Droppin the gas tank and subframe is involved. Nissan only pays for 3 hours of it, so the dealer has to bite the rest.

I am taking my Z in next week for an oil change and to check any other problems.

No window problems with my o4 though.

Is this a problem for the G35 as well? Did you get the recall notice by mail, or is there a website to check?

For the G35, I dont know. I received the notice in the mail. I almost didnt open it because it looked like a mailer. You know the ones that are about clearance sales and stuff. Luckily I did though.

Nissan should send you a servey to fill it out. Do so and you may get a free Oil/Filter.

Wheels/Brakes/Color = HOT!!!!!

Well I believe my dealer gave me the oil change club option for free. I had a run around with them about the feathering thing with the tires and since then my oil changes have been for free. I remember it being a $100 option when I bought the car but optioned to go without. They never told me they did that so I just assumed. Not bad I thought. I have wondered it they would even do that or if its a mistake. Im not asking though!

The dealer tried a couple of adjustments first, would work for a week or so & then the same thing happened again. Finally replaced the motor in the window and that worked!! Have not had any promblems since I last posted. Good Luck

maybe you just accidentally activated the window down feature of the 350z...you know when you are far away hitting and holding the unlock button to roll down your windows...I would think that they would have fixed most of the problems on the 350

press unlock on your key remote and hold the unlock button for a couple of seconds(5-6 sec), your window will go down until you release the button-one of my favorite unadvertised feature on my Z. I hope you just pressed your remote accidentally

I bet that is exactly what is happening. I know I have done that with the panic button before on the Mustang I used to have. Usually happens if you have 2 sets of keys in your pocket. I think most if not all Nissans have the window down feature. My I35 had it and I think my Dad's Titan does too. Now, what would be best is if they had a window up feature by remote....far more useful if you leave the windows down and a storm comes up!
