Hi, I'm new. Looks like there are a lot of knowledgeable people here. Hopefully, someone can help with this.

Here are the facts:

2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R SpecV, 65,000 MilesGround Control coilovers, Eibach springs, stock dampenersStock Rims

Let me say this up front: I am not an expert, maybe an amateur mechanic at best. My suspension knowledge is limited to basically what I have read.

Ok, I bought this car about year ago and it already had the Ground Control/Eibach setup installed on it. I do a fair amount of driving and am really not liking them so much these days. I'm sure this has a lot to do with the fact that the previous owner decided to use the stock dampeners with this lowering setup.

So, I bought a set of Tein Basic coilovers (they are sitting on the floor next to me right now) to replace the Ground Control, but before I take it in to have the switch made, I need to know if there will be any issues when replacing them. For example, were there any modifications that were made when the Ground Controls were installed that would prevent the Teins from installing properly (metal removal, welding, etc.)? I have the parts from the original suspension if necessary.

I know this may seem like an incredibly amateur question to the suspension experts, but it is the only car I have and I can't afford to have it off the road for a long time. I don't plan on doing it the install myself, so I'm trying to anticipate any issues that may arise in advance. Also, I want to be able to return the Teins if there would be insurmountable problems. Any information that anyone could provide is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Eibach GC's are direct replacement for the stock springs so aslong as they were meant for your car, there should've been no need to modify anything. The fact that they're still on the stock struts supports this, too.

The Teins should bolt up just fine.
