Do some searching, this has been discussed at length.

Basically, I/H/E is a good start. The QR25 responds really well to those mods, plus the header takes care of the precat disintegration issue. This is really a matter of how much power you want, how much money you have, and how reliable you want it to be.

You won't have choice but to put a turbo on the QR if you want 300hp. On the other hand, if you get all the possibles NA bolt-on for the QR, you'll be in the 19X whp range.

It's possible to make the QR realible with a turbo on. There's so much QR hater out there who will tell you it can't be realiable. To see more, there's a lot of member on http://www.myspecv.com who got their QR turboed that run ok.

yea i plan on boosting it very soon, my buddy has a 07 si boosted with the biggest turbo you can buy and his low boost at 4 pounds kills most turbos that are at 12 or 14. I am also having a problem with cranking it every once in awhile it wants to take a little while to turn over any ideas its like every few times i start it up??

The Turbonetics kit is good.

The QR's internals can handle 300hp.

300hp+ in a FWD car is going to be obnoxious for a daily commute. There's a ton of torque steer as is, and it will only get worse.

Make sure all the recalls have been taken care of, one of them would probably explain the long turnover time.

sounds like the infamous fuel pump issue.
