I want to replace my cabin filter and I understand it's benind the glove box. I am able to take off the govebox and unscrew all the screws from the dash panel. However, I still cannot take off the panel. It looks like something else is holding the panel in place on the top right corner. It seems to be stuck between the fake wood and the door seal and I cannot figure out how to take it off. There is either a hidden screw that you take off by taking off the fake wood or there is something that I am missing. The panel just does not want to come off. What do I do?

PULL. they are hard to get out. Remove the rubber door molding along the dash to ease removal.

Thank you very much. I will try to pull it out. I am a little afraid of braking the pannel or doing something to deploy the airbag. Do you pull it straight to you or to the side?

Straight to you. Just be sure the connector isnt attached to the panel. You leave the connector plugged in but you slide it off the panel if its even attached to the panel. You wont deploy the airbag unless you apply voltage to it.

I have my glove box removed so I can see everything underneath it. Where is the filter located? There is around white container and a square black container that I see. Is it one of those? Thanks, Andy

There should be a clip holding the filter in. If you can snap a shot and post it I will alter the image to show you were it goes.

This may come as a shock to you, but the cabin filter for a QX4 is a dealer-only item. I went to the dealer and the thing costs 50 bucks!!! Looks like its ebay for me.
