2003 pathfinder no heat!!

someone "flushed" the system and now we have noheat after about a 4 mile drive, have done every kind of bleeding procedure, replaced both thermostats w/o any change. HELP PLEASE!!!

i had this same prob. you need to let the engine cool off and then you need to filll the radiator up and keep repeating those steps until your system is full. on the vq pathys there is no easy bleeder screw like the older vg engines.

On my stickshift '01 PF, there's a rubber cap on a metal line, roughly centered,just forward of the firewall, just below the hood line. You pull the cap off and it vents air out of the coolingsystem. Keep adding coolant mixture until the radiator is full, then cap thevent line.

The factory service manual says "vent plugs" (plural) but the picture only showsthis one, and I've only ever been able to find the one. The Haynes manualshows another on top of a cross tube at the front of the engine, but minedoesn't have that vent.

so thats what that rubber cap on that metal line is. i always thought it was something to do with the evap system.
