I have a serious leak in my wiper fluid reservoir so I took it to the dealer and they said I needed a new tank for $250. So I filled it with water and it appears to be leaking from one of the three connections on the bottom of the tank, I am thinking it's a cracked washer or something. The thing I couldn't figure out was how to safely remove the sensor and 2 feeds to the frot and rear wipers without damaging them so I can inspect the washers and possibly save myself $250. Can someone tell me how to remove the sensor/hose connectors?

Thanks for your help!

The sensor connection, if there's one visible, should be a plug... If not, I don't see why you couldn't cut the wires and repair them when you replace the tank... They're just a low-voltage circuit (to tell when fluid is low).

As far as the hoses, those should have a connection on the underside of the hood somewhere... just follow them towards the wipers and disconnect where you see a break.

$250 for a wiper fluid tank is insane. Check with our sponsors for a better price, or hit a junkyard.
