2003 Nissan Pathfinder 4x4 with 174k.
Check engine light comes on with P0011 - "A" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance (Bank 1)
Only comes on when vehicle is warm.
Used an engine flush which helped for a little then it came on on the freeway again.
Changed the Camshaft position sensor (bank 1), worked for awhile, then came on again.
Problem seems to be intermediate, doesn't always happen as soon as the vehicle is warmed up.
Check engine also doesn't always come on. Sometimes the transmission just goes into limp mode and then the light comes on after awhile (turning the car on and off before the light is illuminated fixes it for a short period of time).
Both camshaft sensors were caked with sludge so I know the vehicle has not been maintained very well.
Any ideas??
