Hey man sorry to hear this... Reminds me of a story a coworker tells about his run-in with a loaded dumptruck. He had earlier fractured parts of his spine in a quad crash, was driving to the doctor because he knew he was in pain, but had no idea the severity. He pinches a nerve while sitting, driving and falls asleep at the wheel. So, his (brand new) Chevy 1/2ton wanders into the oncoming lane, and much to his dismay, at the intersection he was going through while passed out, there was a loaded dump truck with trailer coming head on. These are rural roads, so 45 is the posted speed. The impact puts him under the steering wheel, in a ball of broken bones and flesh. He was medi-vac'd to the hospital where he was put back together. Cool thing is, he totalled a dump truck with his Chevy. Kicked the front axle of the dump across the intersection, about 50ft away.
At the hospital, they found two broken legs, one broken arm, one fractured. One broken back and a fractured sternum, among other injuries. If you saw the pics of his truck taken at the scene, you'd ask how does anybody live through that. The truck is unrecognizable, there is no front of it. Only a crushed cab and bed.
He lives & breathes today! In fact, pound for pound one of the strongest toughest guys I know. This is the long way of saying glad you're OK, and it coulda been a lot worse.
P.S. I see you're from WA, so you may know the red Corliss dump trucks I refer to. This incident took place in '01, near the Bonney Lake ~ Enumclaw area...along 410.
