I have a 2003 maxima that is skipping when I reach 2000 rpms or more. The check engine light comes on. I took it to a local Auto Zone and they ran the codes which showed P0650 and P1448. I replaced the spark plugs but this did not hlep. Once the codes are reset the car runs great for approximately 30 mintues or so. Then it starts cutting out again and the check engine light comes back on. What do you think is wrong with it. Could it be the throttle position sensor? I need help. Cannot continue to spend money and car still not fixed.

Those codes mean:

P0650 - Malfunction Indicator (MIL) Control Circuit

P1448 - EVAP Canister Vent Control Valve Open

So it looks like there's something wrong with the CEL itself aside from the EVAP issues. For EVAP, start by making sure your gas cap is sealing properly. You might want to see if a new gas cap solves the issue.

Here's a thread concerning the P1448 code:zerothread/201095

ok he reset the computer and check engine light was still on. Took it and had the codes checked but there was not any codes that showed up. Turned off check engine light. Car is running without the skip but now it is wanting to run hot. My Dad flushed the radiator but this has not nelped. What do you think might be the problem now?

If it's sputtering after 2k rpm, then you might have a catalytic converter issue. A friend of mine had the same issue, every time he was going up a hill or trying to pass someone, it would sputter out and have a real loss of power. His CEL flashed even, but it never said anything about his cat. He replaced his cat, and he's running perfectly now. Do you have an extreme loss of power?
