Took my car to Jiffy Lube for an oil change and had them change the cabin air filter while it was there. When I got in the car the airbag light was flashing. They pulled the glove box back out to see if they might have pulled the wire but it was ok. Took it to Meineke and they told me that the passenger airbag module needs to be replaced. He said if Jiffy Lube disconnected the wire with the battery still attached it would blow the module. He said to try to find the part at a salvage yard. The part alone is about $1300.00
When I got in the car the light was out which means he must have reset the light.
I did a search and a couple of questions said if the light isn't flashing the system is reset.
My question is, is it actually reset or is the light just out and I still have to replace the module. I just don't want to drive around thinking I have airbags and then to find out they don't work when I need them. I value your feedback. Sorry this is so long.

For this, I would take it to a dealer and have them take a look at it. I wouldn't trust anywhere that doesn't have Nissan specific diagnostics to determine what a problem like this is. Also, welcome to NICO!
