2003 maxima engine stalling

I have a 2003 maxima and the engine stalls. This just started a few months ago and it gives a engine code-"Engine Idle Speed is higher than expected".It happens 2-3 times a month. It usually stalls while idling, but occasionally stalls while driving. I can put the car in neutral and start it right back up. The engine doesn't run ruff, and gas mileage is the same as usual. Any ideas? Thanks, Jim
