2003 M45 Y34 Window regulator "button" doesn't work

Hey everyone,

Driver window regulator went on my 2003 M45.

After servicing, the auto up and down only go a step at a time, seems the limiter needs to be set, which is the required procedure after replacing any window components. On newer nissans it is done with the window switch, and not a proprietary button on the motor.

Here's the procedure from the 2003 FSM:



The problem is that it doesn't work. The button position does reset after hitting bottom as it states.

It almost seems like the manual is mistaken. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hey Jack, it's been a few years since I did mine but I'll dig around for any records. IIRC, it was a pretty simple process.

Of course I believe you do know what you're doing, but you're making sure to use "stage 1" of the switch, which is non-auto to go up and down, right?
