My stock cd changer stop working recently and wanted to know if i can install an aftermarket cd changer and if theres any wiring harness to do so? Or a harness for a headunit? Anything? Ill replace all of it if its possible even the screen. I can control the ac without the screen.

I'm not familiar with the Y34, but Crutchfield is usually really good at stuff like this. They have awesome customer service.

Is it the one in the glovebox or the one that's in the center console? Ebay is where I would go look for a replacement. I have a suggestion-I have the tape player in the center console, but I soldered wires to the Dolby NR left/right posts and deck's grounding point inside the deck. I ran the wire under the center hump to a 3.5mm female jack in the armrest storage bin. I bought a Himbox bluetooth transmitter on Amazon, plugged in to the 12v outlet and just use my iphone. About a afternoons worth of work, but i have bluetooth quality sound and hands free phone and Siri capability. Costs around $75 in parts, that's including a cradle and optional cable to charge the phone. If you're on a budget, you can plug directly into your smartphone with a patch cable-should be less than $20 in parts from radio shack. if you don't have a friend that has a soldering iron, then $45.

Do you have pics of your mod? I mostly just use my headphone jack so the aux input will satisfy me.

I remember the Maxima crew doing that back in the day, but it was about the same time I found that soldering irons weren't exactly my forte... Plus those cars were very easy to add aftermarket sound to.

The cd changer is in the glove and i have mod the tape deck for bluetooth already. Thats fine sometimes but i still like the old fashion cds. The bluetooth is such a process to do every time especially on short trips to the store. If i could ill replace it all. Ive already replaced all the stock speakers and took out the stock sub. Ill bypass the stock amp if theres a way to replace everything up front. I dont even need the screen as long as im still able to control the climate control with the buttons im fine with that no need for a screen. I really need my cds because i dont listen to the radio at all. I just cant spend $150-200 for a stock cd changer for an old car. Id rather have that money towards a real headunit.

Have you tried Ebay? Also, try Used Car Parts, I just looked and they go for $70 and up. http://car-part.com/
