2003 M45 - White smoke

Whats up everybody new owner of a 03 M45. Im loving it so far. I really like all of the mods everyone is making. I think ill keep mine pretty stock. I have a green color which makes it stand out alone. But i do have a question Whats up with the white smoke coming out of the tail pipes when im stopped at a stop sign or red light, is that normal? And are there any mods you can make to the CD system that comes factory with the car? Thanks for the help in advance.

What mod are you wanting to do that was factory? The smoke topic has been about talked so drill down into this forum and get some ideas and it isn't that common, but, I say take the car in and get a fresh synthetic oil change and start running prem gas and if the problem persist take it to the dealer. Depending on your in service date your car is more than likely under warranty, plus depending on your mileage you may be due for some servive work (tans flush and re fil, oil change, radiator flush, air filter, etc..)

I had a similar issue but my car sits for weeks on end in my garage and when I started it up I would see a mist of white smoke for approx 2-3 minutes, but it was because my car sat forever. After I drove it it never appeared again.

THanks for the help. I just wanted to know if there was any mods out there that people may have done to the factory radio/sound system. It was really a general question. thanks for the tip ill go get all of that done this week.

for sure, get that done Be prepared to spend 400-600 bucks. How many miles are on you car?

I have just under 18000 miles on the car. damn it will cost that much. i shoulda known. lol.

18K miles, cool just get the new air filter & oil changed and go mobil 1 synthetic. I have an 03 M double black with 30K miles

Wow man that thang is nice. what percentage tint do u have on it? i have to get mine done. thanks for the tips too. anything else you know that i should be aware of is greatly appreciated too.

Thanks and its 5%. I think once you get fresh synthetic, air filter and running high octane gas, you should be good. If the smoke continues go see the dealer ASAP.
