The dealer keeps saying it's something else every time. My quick story:

Everytime I use the brakes it feels really rough. I can feel the car stopping and it makes a noice. I took it to the dealer and he said that it has new pads and it might be that their new. I also took it to Infiniti and got it checked, nothing. I took it to GoodYear and they said the rotors were not turned when brakes were installed. I took it back to the dealer and he resurfaced the rotors and it felt worse. I just dropped it off again and he put brand new infiniti brake pads(showed receipt) and nothing. He said his best guy checked the car and now it's the tires. It has heavy treads causing it to feel rough, he said. I love this car and have owner it coming on 30 days. I don't think it's the tires. I don't know much about cars so I'm asking for help.

Thanks..

What is size and brand and tread depth in 32ths inch of tires?

Since tire are 90% of the braking equation.

Hello,I read ur post about your about issues with your brakes. I have an 03 M45 with factory oem brakes, and one day I started to feel grinding while I braked. This happens somewhat frequently from that point thereafter. The only thing I can recall that may have caused this to happen is that one day I had 5 passengers (heavy guys) in my car, and I braked at an intersection, and the stock brakes made a VERY BAD sound I never heard before b/c I guess to the weight of the car with all the passengers in my car.

That's the only thing I can recall that may have caused this. I am well aware that the stock brakes are too weak for this large of a car, and I assumed the grinding meant I needed new rotors and pads. (grind wear indicators for replacement)So I bought top of the line Hawk HPS pads w/ very nice aftermarket cross drilled and slotted rotors. (The unnerving part is I looked at the stock pads and they had much more life in them and were very thick, so they really didn't need replacing). The HPS's have now set in, BUT I STILL FEEL THE GRINDING somewhat frequently. It's kind of a minor grinding but still very unsettling.

I plan to take it to the dealer and tell him my story. I have all the receipts from the professional install and parts. It HAS to be another issue with brakes. One moment it will brake fine, the next, I feel some grinding.

What type of issues are you having? Have they been resolved yet? What do you mean when you say that the braking is "real hard"? What types of noices are you hearing? I would appreciate any feedback you may have.

Hope this helps,

I love my car and this part of it really fustrates me. The dealer has changed the pads out and nothing. The noise still happens. Whenever I brake it makes a noise like an airplane landing. Really rough and felt througout the car. The dealer now claims that it's due to the rough tread on the tires. I took it to a goodyear dealer and they were not able to have it checked today but scheduled an appointment for tomorrow but they say that's hard to believe. I am a big guy but usually drive alone. I will post what happens tomorrow.

I've never heard any car I driven make a noise or feel like this. I have driven several cars to the ground and none made me feel like this when I brake..

Hey I just bought a 2003 M45 and love everything about it. However I feel the same thing a feeling like the pads are worn down and that its time to cut the rotors. Please ANY info on this problem wil help.
