2003 m45 starts then craps

Had this problem for a little while now but today it happen 6 times use to happen once and a while but when I start my car it turns on then struggles to stay on then just shuts down have to restart it again any insight on what it could be has 112000 miles on it starter ? Not the batter new battery new exaust

I don't think it's the starter if the car actually turns over.
Idle air control issues
- Does the car act any different if you jab the gas pedal at start up?
- Fewer problems when started cold, worse when warm (doesn't seem to be the problem here)

Have you ever cleaned your MAF?

If I jack the gas it breaks threw sometimes and will start yes .. And what's a maf? I'm gonna see if I can record it today if it happens and post it here

MAF sensor = mass airflow sensor

Be careful cleaning it and use ONLY MAF cleaner (can be found in your parts store such as Advance Auto). Nissan/Infiniti MAF's are VERY sensitive and can be easily damaged if dropped or if cleaned improperly. They are $300 or so new last I checked.

I broke my MAF by using a K&N filter. It's oil got onto the MAF causing issues and then when I tried to clean it, it didn't work so good after lol. So, now, I stick to non-oil based filters.

Yes, that's logical.It could be many things actually, not least idle air concerns. I had a recent similar issue on an X-Trail. It turned out that the throttle body driver in the ecm was bad. No codes.

One more thing: the fuel pump. Have that checked too.
