2003 m45 navigation

does any body have any feedback,my screen that displays,radio,climate control and navi.went out on me,then came back on,now it went out again.when it went out radio was still playing heat was on,but had no control of any functions,volume,temp,etc.love the car.help?

I had the same exact problem with my 2003 M45. The dealer had to replace the whole unit. Luckily for me the car was still under warranty. If not the cost was upwards of 5k. I'll send another post when I find the invoice. I want to be able to give you the exact terminology they used.

Sorry to hear about your nav problems. Your brain unit in the trunk is going bad. It seems to be a common problem. I myself went through this last year. First it was intermittent and then it jus completely stopped and I lost control over nav, air, audio and everything else on the center console. The dealer charges around 5700 to replace the unit. I have an extra brain unit from my wrecked m45 and if you want it I will sell it to you. let me know.

I think their is also an installation CD you need that installs the software for the car. It might work if its already installed but I heard it needs to be reinstalled for different vehicles. Cd is like $600.
