Hey guys I just recently bought an 03 M45 from a guy in Tampa, Florida. Did all the VIN check and title check and the car checked out clean. Only thing was the supplemental air bag light was flashing where he said the dealer can fix because of a recall. I fixed a minor leak from the engine with two new valve gaskets and changed all rotors and brakes and flushed out the oil. Car runs smooth for a month then all of sudden out of now where while driving the engine shuts off. Pulled off the side of road and put it into park and turned off the engine. Starts off good and doesn't happen again until yesterday and know the cluster is lit up like Xmas lights. I read on the forums it is supposedly the cam/crankshaft sensors. When I took it to the dealership they told me its the sensors and the ECM. Anyone else had any trouble with this? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

How many miles?

One thing to try is cleaning off the cam/crankshaft sensors. They get dirty with tiny little metal shavings. Give that a try. Otherwise, I think they are relatively cheap (at least they were on the 1999 Maxima I had before this car).

I have approx 135K miles. I have read around the internet that these sensors tend to go bad around 80K miles on the M's. Well let me try to either clean or get new cam/crankshaft sensors. Hopefully its not the ECM
