It still shows available from Infiniti, but it's pricey, $345.

Amayama in Japan also shows stock, in case the US websites are lying.

Wow... Yeah that is Pricey...I hope to find one for less than that... I don't understand why the one for this car is so much more expensive than the ones for any of the other cars from this age range?... ie Q45, G35 ectt.. seen plenty of them in the 30 to 50 range.

With almost any part, if the aftermarket doesn't pick it up and downcost it, the price goes up as the remaining supply goes down. That's just the way of the world. :gotme

With the old Jedeco motors it's usually the brushes which wear out and not the armatures, and it's usually possible to rebrush them if you're handy and can solder. If that's you then you might want to open up the dead motor and see if Eurton Electric has a brush set to fit it.

I took your advice and opened the motor and it was worn out brushes... no need to solder them in they just snap into place. A spring tab holds it in place... very easy fix if I can find the brushes. no luck yet... if I cant find them I will get a hunk of brush and sand it to my size or I can get one of the 30.00 motors for a Q45 or G35 and take the brushes out, they all have the same motor on them just a different drive gear. There is no wire attached to them, the connection comes from the arm it snaps into.
At the most it's a 10.00 fix. its a small 7mm x 7mm brush with a 4.25mm x 3mm tit on the back that snaps into the arm.
I can post a pic for others to see what it looks like, but not sure how to.

Thanks
Geo

The best way to post pics is to use the "Full Editor & Preview" button, then underneath the text pane you'll find an "Attachments" tab. It takes JPG or PNG. When you do it that way, the pic is forever because it's stored on Nico's servers and not a cloud host. The only thing is there's a size limit, so I usually photoshop my pics down to about 1500~2000 pixels on the long axis. That's enough res for good viewing but keeps the file size down.
