I have a 2003 Infiniti M45 that recently developed a climate control issue. When the car's heating and air conditioning's controls are set to "auto", no matter what desired temperature you set the climate control at, the heater starts up and the fan motor blows at full speed. The air conditioning will only come on if you set the temperature to 60 degrees. The only way to not have the blower fan blow at the fastest speed setting is to put the fan in manual mode. I live in the San Diego area and have had the car to two local, very good mechanics I use for our cars who have looked at the problem. Both have worked on my Infiniti before. Both recommended I take the care to an Infiniti dealer. Obviously, I am afraid of being taken to the cleaners by a dealership.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? What caused it? Any help would be appreciated.
