2003 I35 Engine Knocking

Hi - I picked up this car a little over a year ago, and it's developed a knocking/clicking sound around 2000 rpm. I've tried 3 cans of BG44k, as well as a fuel injection service, but the noise is still coming. Dealer thinks it's bad gas, I'm not so sure anymore since I've had the noise since Dec. 2006. Help!

Does it only knock when you are on the peddle? If you let up for a second, does it go away? If so, I would have to guess bad knock sensor, but then I'm no expert.

It consistently happens at 2k rpm, and during the 2nd/3rd gear shift. Anything at a different rpms produces no sound at all.

wild guess are the spark plugs ok b/c most of the time stuff like that are small issues

My 03 I35 does the same thing. Any fix?
