Hi. Can someone please tell me if these wheels will fit on a '91 Q45. I don't know if it is an active suspension model or if that matters. Best guess or quotation of stock wheel size, offset, bolt pattern and tire size would be appreciated. So far I think/guess:

15x7?45mm?5x114.5215/65

And will Bridgestone Turanza EL92's handle the weight of a Q45?

Thanks very much in advance,Jim

http://www.tirerack.com can be mined for a lot of information and compartive tire data.

Thanks. I've looked at tire rack to get the stock tire size and I think the G35 tires would be close (around 26.3"). What I really need is the full scoop on stock wheel size and offset. I am guessing they were 15x7 with a 45mm offset so the G35 16x6.5 with 40mm offset should fit well. The tires only have a 94V load rating - is that going to be close enough?

Q was 15x6.5 with 45mm and 215/65-15, the G tires are 205/65-16 and the 94 load rating should be higher, the tires would probably wear faster. if you want the rims get them and when the tires wear out put on different sized tires.

Sounds good. Thanks so much for the advice. I'm actually hoping to sell the rims but didn't want to steer a buyer wrong. Us Infiniti owners have to stick together. :)

It's always safer to upgrade the load index because the 95 index [1521 pounds at 44 psi] can be easily exceeded.

Because no one inflates to 44 psi [1521/44= 34.5 pounds per psi].

Also you must ask yourself is Michelins 95 rating the same as a brand x load rating.........who do you trust to be more accurate and truthful................was there a reason that Infiniti chose the most expensive tire money could buy as the factory tire back in 90-93 was it because none of the others could hold up.

Infiniti sent request for bids giving all the parameters and got back proposal along with sample tires to test........Why wasn't Bridgestone, Yokohama, or other domestics satisfactory? Why did they have to import tires all the way from France to place on the Q?

All I know is that from years of experience with Q that a 98 load rated tires works better and the few I've seen with 99 and 100,101 rating work extremely well.

It is all a matter of reserve capacity which translates to strength!

Q45 Tech,

I have a set of Yoko A550V 225/60/15 95 load 380 treadI read that the max inflation is 35. Does this mean the tire really does not have the load rating specified at 35psi?

Are there any tires with higher load ratings in the 15" rim size? I would love to increase if possible, but prefer to stick with the stock rims.

The AVS Intermediate in 215/65/15 and the Michelin H4 Pilot are the only two common 15" which exceed the minimal oem load rating.

Obviously a lower max psi tire has a stronger sidewall since lower inflation pressure can support the same weight as a thinner sidewall [usually single ply] with 44 psi..............which would you like to hit a curb with: a weak ballon sidewall or a strong double or triple ply sidewall both maybe damaged beyond recovery but you might drive to the shop with a stronger tire.

Not to say I won't use 95V rated tires but I prefer 98 or 99-100 even if I have to go down to H rated since I rarely exceed 85 mph in Summer and never never keep tires two years so the internal damage accumulation is minimized.

To my knowledge Michelin continues to make the 235/60/15 as it is in demand for the older BMW 735 and Jags.
