2003 G35 transmission problem

So my transmission out of the blue dropped or something today as i put my car into reverse. I backed out of the driveway and now it's like I have no gears at all. I have a 6 speed. It's like I have no gears at all and my shift knob will just move around like there is no transmission at all. I have no idea what it could be. The clutch is fine, I'm just stumped. any ideas on whats going on? thanks
