My friend just straight pipes his Subaru Legacy and I thought that it sounded pretty good. If I took off the resonator, how big would the diameter of the pipe need to be?

I believe it's 2.25". The best way to find out would be to crawl under and measure :)

So all G35 have a mid-exhaust resonator and rear muffler??? The same was on my former Saab, which I chopped off the muffler and it sounded way better.
