:ohno:
I have babied my car, though all 140,000 miles with regular service and check-ups the first couple of years... even weekly hand washing! It doesn't love me back. Now the issues begin...

1) The RADIO CIRCUIT BOARD croaked, recently. After all my research, I see that it is a common issue and a pricey repair. I saw somewhere that Infinity will offer a discount to a range of VIN numbers. Well they offered nothing of the sort when I called about it. They quoted me about $200 FOR THE PART!

2) Now its the drivers side window that jumps back down when closing. I can ease it up bit by bit and read that there is a reset button inside the door panel.

So, I wonder if disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes will reset the computer and everything will work!!

3) Before 100,000 had to replace drivers seat motor... oh well

Also, I need brakes and a friend will do the job. What the heck are Brembo brakes? An upgraded option? How would I know if that's what I need?

The baby is looking a little tired. Thanks for any input.

first off,

Now, the circuit board can cost up to $800, so $200 is very cheap and I would do it.
Brembo brakes were the performance brakes used on Manual transmission G35 coupes from 2003 and 2004. They are much more expensive than the regular brakes, and you can find them online cheaper than the dealer. You can try having the window motor reprogrammed, or just get a new one. But new they are close to $300.

I think at 140k your car has been good to you

I had to replace hood hinges on mine at 101682 miles for $267.00

I'm probably the only one that had to replace hood hinges

Sir, no sir. Hood hinges are quite the common occurence on 03 and 04 models. They were redesigned in 2005 because the doohickie in the thingamabobber by the bending point had a tendency to warp. I've seen them get replaced a lot. More on cars that have had slight front end collisions or lots of hood opening and closing
