I've searched the forum but haven't found anything about my situation. So I will post and hope that a tech or any other members on this site can help. I was posting in another thread, but I didnt want to hijack it, so here you go.

My SAT button on the radio does nothing. It doesnt even say "NO SAT" even though I dont have a tuner installed. I'm pretty sure its supposed to say something if you dont have the tuner installed, but please correct me if I am wrong.

I want to install AUX inputs so I have been trying to get my aux adapter(PAC AAI-NIS2) to work. I installed it, but the SAT button still doesn't do anything.

What is the likely hood that the 12-pin socket on the back of the head unit is defective?

You need to post this in the G35 forum! Simply have someone with a 2003-2005 G35 that doesn't have the satellite option go out and push the SAT button on their radio and see what happens. It would be highly unlikely that your radio had a bad SAT port on the back. In my 16 years of installing I have never seen that.

Yeah, but satellite radio launched in late 2001 so SAT buttons on factory radios have only been around for 6 or 7 years.
