I guess the answer depends on how much are they going to charge you for the maintenance? If they are going to rape you, then try somewhere else. As far as oil changes go, I change mine every 3k miles with conventional 5w30 in winter months and 10w30 in summer.

Take a look at the warranty booklet that came with your vehicle that describes what work is done for the 15k & 30K service?

How many of those items can you do yourself? Check fluids, tire pressure, rotate tires, change oil, oil filter, air & cabin Filters etc?

With over 40k miles on my 06 I change my own oil, oil filter, Air filter & Cabin Filter, check fluids & tire pressure weekly. I've only visited the dealer to replace a defective tire pressure sensor and a air bag sensor both replaced under warranty.

My old 80 Rabbit Diesel with over 246k miles, my 88 Mazda 929 with over 200k miles when I got rid of it, and my 92 Lexus ES300 with over 100k miles never had a 15k, 30k, 60k, 90k.........etc service.

IMHO keep an eye on fluids, change your oil regularly & the other items above & I think you'll be fine.BTW, I document all my self maintenance in my warranty booklet, purchase oil, Air & Cabin Filters from the dealer on my credit card and save all my receipts.

I got my service done at a import tuner shop because the prices were so much better. I try to stay away from the dealership because of the high cost. You will need the transmission fluid from them though. I've been told that the automatic transmission uses "paper" clutches and will stick with other fluid brands. There is also a how-to on the in cabin filter. I posted pics there. it's really easy.

Thank you!!!Btw, since you have a 2003 sedan too, do you sometimes feel creaking sound from chasis like when you are driving over bumper or bumpy road.

Thankx!! so the main service you mean like 15k and 30k? or just 30k is good. I feel like i can just do few important ones in those major services instead of the whole thing for $5-600. what do you suggest?

I would also like to know what everyone is doing on transmission flush intervals, and is everyone changing the filer too?
