Quick question everyone...the original bulb in 2003 G35 is that HID bulb (D2R) or do I need to get the HID conversion kit to lighten up the car?cheers,

It is your lucky day. I have a set of HID G35 lights that are plug and play, bolt directly in, and are yours for $100. + shipping. They even have some bluish smoke overlays on them.

My email is in my profile, if you are interested, hit me up and we can work something out.

If Ceasar doesn't want them, I might.

What brand? Why aren't you using them?

I thought that they were the projector lens style, and they aren't. They are the exact same stock HID's that came on my car. Part numbers are exactly the same. Not worth the time changing out the stock HID's for another set of the same thing, just to get the overlays. Too much work for overlays.

So you're telling me that my dingy coupe bulbs are HIDs?

I want lights like on my mom's QX4. Those things are beautiful. Bright, bluish/white, and bright...oh wait I already said that...

Probably. If you look at the top of the headlight housing, it will tell you what bulbs go in the lights. It is right at the top, by the grill.

If it has D2R, you have HID's. FWIW, my lights aren't dingy or yellow at all. They aren't blue, or even bluish, but are definitely not dingy and are very white.

I shouldn' t have said dingy. They just aren't as bright as I'd hoped they'd be.

If it says D2R, you have HID's (Xenon). The stock bulbs are a white color. Bluish bulbs are a higher heat (Kelvin). Blues are in the 8000K range. All you need is a higher Kelvin bulb. The bulbs I have in both sets (ones on car and ones on shelf) are stock.

Good bulbs and fair prices.
