If you have a mechanical fan on your G then I highly suggest you swap it out for an electric fan. It is far more responsive. Especially with the Unorthodox Racing underdrive pullies. I know this upgrade has been mentioned before but i just installed it and it is a must.

The fan i opted for was the Mishimoto 14in. Performance Slim Radiator Fan. from http://www.americanmuscle.com/....html

Free shipping and came with the mounting kit.

Pics!!!Fan installed and shroud removed. Lots of space is freed up but the pics were taken with a crappy phone. Some may call this ghetto. I know. But it works and works well. Plus there is a secondary fan if this switch forgets to get pressed.

aren't there ways of having the fan switch on automatically?

Why did you opt for this fan?

I'm sure there are ways to make the fans work automaticly. But I could not find information on the forum and ive asked in the past and haven't really got any info useful in the past. Also I was getting frustrated with the fuse box. So i fished wires through where the past owner had an after market amp wire going through. Put on a switch. Mounted the fan and called it a day.

Great fan. Powerful. Keeps it cooler then stock. Also only 5.5 amps. So not a major drain on the alternator.

Also 2 fuses were added in this electronic circuit. One near the battery and one near the switch. Just to keep it safe.

Hey Teflon, You da man!!! I went directly to infiniti parts last week seeking info on a second gen electric motor and fan mounts etc..., I could've set it up with them, but they seem retarded, and don't understand what I'm trying to achieve, or how simple it is...

What's the price for this rig??? I have to do this right away but I'm installing the BLOX spacer and maybe and oil change, and brakes as well, but we'll see how much energy I have later

This mechanical fan business is pissing me off, so close, yet I still feel so far away from getting it all together, and ulike you teflon, I think I'd prefer to have it set automatically, so I'm also trying to find a shop to install a resistor of sorts

It should be wired to the coolant temp. Fans are set to come on at a preset temp, and go off at another. Do some searching online...I'm sure you'll find something!

The way I did was just the fan and mounting kit($69.99 from the link I have above). A switch, some wire, and 2 fuses.

I know if you want it to come on automatically then you would have to hook it to a relay. That would cost more and I was getting frustrated. I can always change it later.

It made a huge difference and I recommend to have it with underdrive pulleys. Also A/C comes out much stronger.
